Sometimes in life you come across something and wonder why no-one thought of it before. This is simple but genius! Awkward profiles in timber (or steel, plastics, etc.) that once took ages to mark out and measure accurately are copied perfectly in seconds. Saves so much time it's ridiculous and that's before taking into account the huge improvement in accuracy. It's not going to leave my toolbox (except when I'm using it)
This is a very good tool for complex cutting angles such as dodo rails door jambs etc.
The 10" model is more flexible and allows more movemnet than the smaller one (although that would be very useful in restricted spaces).
It is a modern updated design of a traditional tool made of wood and metal prongs, this one being pkastic. The prongs all slide smoothly and are stiff enough to not move or slip bt accident but loose enough to move over objects.
If this type of tool is required I would recommend this one as a very good example.

Very good for marking around skirting boards etc. I have been using a compass for the last 15 years to do so but this makes it so much easier, quicker and a better job
